Los Angeles-based producer, DJ and record collector Daniel T. delivers a dubbed-out rework of Bollywood composer Kirti Anuraag’s 'Zindagi To Zindagi Hai'. Kirti Anuraag released several ultra-obscure OSTs for a series of straight to VHS films produced by Hiba Films in the mid-80s. Heavily anchored in mood music with a certain magical 'je ne sais quoi’ quality, they are some of the more leftfield Bollywood releases of that era. Taken from the 1986 ‘Siyahi’, Daniel T. pays homage to the elevator quality of the original, dubbing it out and layering in vocal samples from the movie. His rework is something special. This is the second single from Naya Beat’s forthcoming Bollywood compilation.

Established in 1982, CBS Gramophone Records & Tapes (India) Ltd. became an accidental home of sorts for established composers to be experimental, up-and-coming composers to make their mark, B-movie soundtracks and straight-to-VHS releases. Out June 2023, 'Awaaz: Original Soundtrack Recordings From The Archives Of CBS Gramophone & Tapes India 1982-1986', captures the wonderful electronic, disco and ambient sounds of a label that put out great music that was different.
